Putting OEM 991.2 GT3 front bumper on GTS OUCH!

OP it seems you bought the wrong car.
Next time Just buy your final target in order to save money and time.
Obviously your GTS can beat a GT2RS but i believe also the car including the mods should be equal or even higher price than a GT2RS.
I believe in 6 months you Will focus on a CUP CAR.
Wait to see your results. Enjoy the mods Journey.

I am only at $400,000. So I am at same spend as GT3.
A second hand cup car 991 is around $270,000
So I can have both for the similar money.
We get royally bent over here with tax.

That is a crazy price taxation.
800K USD? or Australia Dolars?
I agree that you that seems the most cost effectice way is a CUP CAR. It seems you really enjoy track time.
We enjoy also together with you your Journey.

i can’t wait for the bar to be on. It will change the look.
My track buddies call my car the GTS-RS. But after the GT3 front bar it may be considered a Twin Turbo Touring.

I feel your pain, just replaced my front bumper cover (courtesy of an unfriendly tiny track cone), when done it was 9k all in. I encourage anyone that is seeking to place a GT3 bumper cover on a non GT car to expect a very hefty repair if it gets damaged. The 911 bumper cover cost about 66% less than the GT3 cover. Damn, they look almost identical. This P-Car tax is merciless.

MUCH nicer with the GT3 bumper and you have me thinking, especially since I know what it entails...

They said I could have had the bar painted for $500 or for $2k. I said what’s the difference. He said for $500 it looks fine if you are covering with PPF and people watch as you fly by on the track. For $2k, if Porsche remove it, they think it was done at factory. Even the stickers were removed and replaced on the inside.

Leave it the orange color. That's a vibe I could dig. I secretly want to paint every panel on my car a different color. Or at least I wanted to on the GT3's. The new bumper looks better, yes. But it now looks like another car, a car it's not. That part will always be critiqued by car dudes who know it all, but all that matters is the reason to you and your pleasure. I do tend to doubt you could have a downforce advantage without the full aero package/design as a whole though. That stuff is meant to work as a whole and is very sensitive to changes.

GTS is widebody so is identical to GT3 and GT3 touring down the side. Guys here just put the stripes on and most people say 911-R? Lol.
i will get GT3 touring a lot. But I will do the upgraded underbody aero and I am contemplating GT2-RS rear. As in the Carbon intakes, and even the ducktail. I may de-wing for street and just run the wing on the track. I have the extra spring rate to compensate for large downforce .

the screens aren’t to my taste. I think the GT3 bar is the prettiest around. I just love the look of it.
my stock radiators are badly damaged from tracking and mountain runs.

Painted a couple of weeks ago
I did contemplate leave it orange for 5 seconds, but it would have been loud!
i can’t PPF for 6-8 weeks. By the time the air con hard lines arrive and it’s all fitted it should only be another couple of weeks before I can PPF it.

Orange would have been hotness, but I'm weird like that. It also looks great painted, obviously. Enjoy your process. It's all enjoyment if it's enjoyable. It's fun to realize a vision.
