I want this enabled because I always thought this new SD wing looked funny when up for some reason. And after seeing the red GTS, I clearly see a difference that I LIKE. So I want this corrected ASAP on mine.

At 80mph with the glass top back, it goes damn near vertical!

I have a booking to get the cars updated by the PIWIS. Will let everyone know when it’s done.

You're just getting the best downforce. But your gas MPG might've gone down.

Thank you 991.2 GTS! I can clearly see yours looks much lower than mine. I think its safe to say I need a PWIZ setting toggled. Thank you VERY much sir. I appreciate that! And STILL no word from my SA. Work is busy so I will call him tomorrow.

Update for everyone following this thread.

I was originally misinformed by a parts guy so, today, I decided to stop by and talk to the tech advisor that I know. Thankfully, they were able to look at it right away and proceeded with programming.

It’s indeed the programming for Sport Design package, as stated above and it’s nice and quick.

Please refer to my edited original post. 👍

Cheers to everyone for helping out on this one. And, once again, you all proved my life moto “Question the answers!”

So they did the programming per the instructions I provided? I’ve “played around” with PIWIS & I know that EVERY option the car has is outlined in there so I wasn’t sure if this was just a change in that “inventory” or a functional change, sounds like it was functional. Thanks for following up!

Yep, I started by showing them the doc that you shared and the service advisor already knew about it.

All of my personalization settings were reset. Not a big deal. However, I forgot to ask them if it included any code update. I’ll take a pic of the current version, later and post it here to compare with others.

Would you mind posting side view pics of the car with the wing in both up positions (sunroof closed and opened)? My car is also agate grey and I’m considering this swap as well. Thanks.

I came across this in a PCA YouTube video. The GT3 touring spoiler with Gurney flap opens to a very steep angle so maybe it isn't necessary to lower the angle for the SportDesign wing?

I bet that you’re right, it isn’t required.

But I also bet that Porsche’s design department asked the engineering department to test was was the lowest position that the SD wing needed to be efficient, just so it looks as good as possible.

the fact that the SD wing is both, higher and longer, also means that the pressure from the air is applied further back and provides more leverage (needs less downforce to provide the same amount of weight on the rear axle). 🤓
