It seems a little incongruous to me on a car like this, but options are more luxury than performance-related, e.g., glass sunroof, Burmester audio system, 18 way seats, etc.

i love my GTS, only thing i bought for it were the rennline grills, a battery tender (this is very important) and the amber side headlight delete. have never had a problem with it.

I have a 991.1 GTS and absolutely love it. IMO, it is the perfect car. I like the wide stance and performance improvements...and it's good both on the track and around town. I'm also partial to the exhaust set up. I like the 4 tips that are spread wide (vs 2 in the center). YMMV.

I did get rid of the P Zeros and put on Michelin Sport Cup 2s.

Thanks again to everyone who responded to my post. After some hesitation and a bit of haggling with the dealer, I bought the white GTS late yesterday afternoon -- just in time for a blast of cold, rainy weather. I was nervous as hell driving the GTS home from the dealership. I really missed my C2 Black Edition and was frustrated at not having a Porsche to drive during the best months of summer, but I think the crash left me with a bit of PTSD.

Congrats!

These things are an affliction aren’t they? You just can’t get them out of your system once you’re exposed.

I have 2 sets of wheels plus stock wheels and change them up often for road and track use.

You have a few options for wheel removal. The majority here on RL use the 3/4" precision instrument torque wrench and breaker bar. This is a no joke task. You will need a second person applying break pressure and keeping the wheel straight while you use all your might to loosen those CL bolts.

I graduated up and have a RENNtorq torque multiplier on its way to make changing wheels a bit easier.

With that system you only need the 1/2" torque wrench as it multiplies the force. You can also use this for changing the oil filter, oil and spark plugs so it's an all around great tool to have if you are doing your own up keep.

Now to get he car jacked up I highly recommend Jack Point Jack Stands with race ramps. Another RL favorite for us guys who don't have a lift.

Good luck and don't hesitate on the GTS. It doesn't disappoint.
Can you suggest any brands for wheels? I’d also like to have a separate set for summer/winter and having trouble finding centerlocks (also a 991.1).

For cold weather driving I went with 19" OZ wheels and Pirelli Sottozero tires from Tire Rack. I like how they look:

I am still in love with my 2015 GTS after 4 great years (bought CPO in 2016). I have mod'd it the way I wanted - HRE's, grilles, side markers, tweeters, wrapped, and most importantly, AWE Switchpath - full throttle, Sport Plus, NA throat = OMG!), and enjoy every minute driving it... Keeping it forever.

Hard to go wrong with either, but to me the GTS is the ideal point on the 911 continuum. I like that the 991.1 was still an NA model. And the comments about the sound are dead-on.
