I track my cars and Im telling you to RUN from a PEC car thats a manual and not a PDK
An owner tracked car is no problem at all with maintenance records.(well cared for by the owner)
PEC cars are beat on by random people every day (some not the best stick shift drivers) - yes they are well taken care of though.

I'd pass unless was PDK -
However this has had the engine replaced..

if its a SMOKIN deal, do it?

Current issue of Panorama has an article on a Barber GTS bought by an Ormond Beach, FL indy shop and the mods they installed.

Interesting read. Lots of HP obtained.

BGB, the Indy shop that did the work, is a great shop for those in the central FL area that want to avoid dealers, and they do little things such as oil changes and general maintenance as well.

I've not done the Porsche schools, but I've done them from other manufacturers. Yes, the cars have the livin' crap beat of out them. That's their job. Would I buy one? Heck no. At a huge discount? Maybe.

I personally wouldn't shy away from an engine replacement, but I am confounded why anyone would pay nearly $100,000 for a car that isn't exactly what they want (whatever that might be). Be it colors, options or a muddy history, it needs to be perfect for you. Don't compromise.

I wonder if anyone on this forum actually owns a PEC car. Surely these cars have sold in the past, Id be curious to hear from long term 991.1 owners and whether they've had issues after a few years.. I imagine itd be a true testament to how robust/reliable these engines are..

The people on this forum are significantly more educated on all things Porsche than most. What do we represent as a population of 911 buyers......no idea but I'm guessing its a tiny fraction.

Dealers are not advertising the PEC pedigree and so I will bet most cars get sold to unsuspecting buyers who don't care and probably have no issue.
