This seems to come at least once per quarter:
- pull both and hold for neutral is PDK-S
- pull and release both, simultaneously, selects neutral for PDK (sports cars only.)

I bet it's in the owners manual somewhere, but why bother to RTFM when you have rennlist?
It's funny, I learned about the neutral trick from my Porsche salesman during delivery last winter. You know how a good salesman will spend a little time with you in the car and teach you some stuff, help you pair your phone, whatever. I'm a multiple repeat customer and I figured he would be out of new things to teach me, but he must have been sandbagging a few tips and tricks for repeat customers because he only dropped the neutral trick on me on delivery day of my most recent purchase. No, I didn't wind up the (cold) engine at the very next stoplight, but I wanted to.

Three Wheelin'
5959, put it in Sport mode / manual and pull back on both paddles. You'll see the dash gear light "blink", rev her up, smile and tap your right paddle and continue you journey

Ah, unfortunately I have the steering wheel with the buttons not paddles. I see a HOLD symbol on the dash while stopped on a hill, which prevents rolling backwards, but I don’t think my car is able to hold the car while stopped without pressing the brake pedal.

Pull both gearshift paddles simultaneously, then release them immediately.
The transmission shifts to N - Neutral
The vehicle then rolls in neutral with the engine disengaged and without engine braking. The number in the gear display goes out and the position of the selector lever flashes.

I can get my 992 ( PDK ) into N by pulling both levers. I also understand that you can rev the engine and get the RPM's up etc while in N prior to getting back into gear. However, I do not fully understand what the function of this is. Is it so we can hear the engine wind up or is there some other functionality to it ? It seems rather different than gunning the throttle in a manual stick shift where we are actually needing to get RPM's up to get into a proper gear, etc.
