Default PORSCHE for Evoque

Hey all need some quick help.... wife wants to trade her 17 MACAN for a new evoque....both dealers are in same complex....should I take to Porsche dealer myself and see what they’ll give me or should just go to evoque dealer?
Just wondering if they would just take to PORSCHE dealer to get a price?
thanks for the help!!!!

I'd take it in for an appraisal at wherever you want to buy the new vehicle from. Then, once you have that number, and you know the spec. on the new vehicle, you farm out the quote to several other dealers to compete for your business.

The Evoque dealer will probably call the Porsche dealer to see what they will give them for it, which may be better than sending it to auction. I assume you get a tax savings when you trade? If so you will probably make out better trading it but I see no harm in stopping in both and telling them what is on your mind.

I hope your wife likes loaners... She will spend a lot of time driving those. Got one for my wife and ended up trading it in for an Merc ML350.

My wife was determined to own a piece of the Kardashian lifestyle. After 2 trouble free, absolutely wonderful Cayenne's she traded for a Range Rover Sport (beautiful looking car). 12 months later she was begging for a new Macan and now on her 3rd Macan a 2019. Great looking cars and supposedly better than in the past but with still some demons.

I am sure GraSox and his wife have done their research, and he is looking for answer to a specific question, not suggestions for other makes/models.

Bob Z is spot on - factor the tax savings of a trade, and my speculation is that you will do well to trade in, and your PITA factor will be lower.
FWIW - my wife had an Evoque and loved it, it was problem free - she now has a Macan GTS and likes it more. I also drove Range Rover Sports for a total of 9 years, and had no issues.

Thanks for the replies guys. We had a evoque before we got the macan and loved it. That’s the beauty of leasing......that you can change cars. The evoque is a new car inside and out......Macan is basically the same as last year.
Thanks again for your responses and help!

LMAO I was about to say that too, that's why I didn't get the Range Rover Sport Supercharged anymore.

Why all the Range Rover bashing??? Here is the latest JD power reliability results. It is at least better than Fiat!

Not meant to derail, just personal experience. Would think that has value on a forum that is usually full of opinions and not from ownership.

That's how casual conversation goes Bob... It is up to the listener to weed out the irrelevant info.

Owned an Evoque before purchasing our current Macan. I have nothing bad to say about the Evoque, but the Macan is a better vehicle in every way I can think of.
