Are the Musicar tweeters that much better than the Burnmester ones? My Bose has the Burns, hence my question...

I think so... But I am sort of an audio nerd.

But if you're just playing streaming music and Satellite radio, maybe not?

It's kind of like asking someone if a 911 is worth double the price of a BMW M3?

To some yes, and some no?

Perhaps you can find someone locally that has some installed to audition?

Say no more! I shall now embark on an evening distraction of acquiring said tweeters I like my sound now, but wouldn't turn down better!

A couple of months ago, I reached out to Mobridge, a company that makes MOST-compatible DSPs and preamps.

Currently, their only offerings for Porsche are PCM 3.x and earlier. I was told, however they expect to have a MOST 150 solution for PCM 4.x near the end of the year.

Is alternator whine still a thing? I used to be into car audio and all aftermarket systems seemed to have horrible alternator whine. I'd hate to do the recommended upgrade on my 911 and get alternator whine,

It's all in how you install the system. Assuming you have proper ground and power cables and not crossing your power over your signal cables and using high quality cabling throughout, you should not have any alternator whine. I replaced every amplifier in my Bose System with two outboard amps, one for my mids/tweeters/door woofers and my sub and I have ZERO alternator whine. I also have a DSP mixed in all of that.

When they have the updates let us all know since it seems you are interested.

I'm curious by this response (and it's Friday and I'm being random)... is there some underlying meaning? Or is this the forum equivalency of stating 'when the sky is cloudy, it might rain...'

Bob Z... get off my lawn moment?

Many people post that they are looking into something, doing a mod to their car, etc. and then they never follow-up, which may not be the case here but I just wanted to let the poster know that the info would be useful, that's all.

I will check their website again later in the year to see if they have any new offerings.

If anyone else is interested, I suggest they make separate inquiries to bolster demand for the product.

Makes sense, you're totally correct, and I can actually remember a time recently doing that... luckily there are finer folks than myself who stepped up!

I am not going to be doing this immediately tomorrow, but definitely doing this asap. Especially since Joe gave me the key to getting it done with ease.
right now i am in the middle of getting the car situated, so while thats going on I might sneak in this upgrade!!!
