If I was going to spend some good coin on a watch, PD is the last place I would look.

I believe what he is trying to convey, is if you asked 100 actual watch aficionados to rank list the top watch brands, looking down most of the lists, it would be a while before you got to PD.

An opinion on an opinion. Useful.

Why does anybody really give a dam if you own a Porsche watch.? Seems like this forum has to find a way to negative comment on everything. Most people on this forum could afford a quality watch if they choose and some still have a PD watch if they are newbies or enthusiasts or just because they want one.
And who ever buys one doesn't really care where it shows up on a watch poll where a bunch of rich guys try to tell you which watch to own.

I'm surprise by this comment but then again it depends what Rolex you are taking about. The 2 SS Daytonas I have Black white w the ceramic bezel are two of the hardest and most desired pieces to acquire. I wouldn't consider those models dated. Sub is timeless along with the GMTs. Imo they are the best value watches you can buy right now if you get them at msrp from a dealer. They have a better build quality than anything out there. Other brands are more handmade and have limited numbers but nothing can take a beating like a Rolex.

JR sorry I hurt your feelings about PD watches (boo hoo). Guess I hit a sore spot and did not know that posters are not supposed to post opinions contrary to yours. But then again, guess you know it all.

Unless you're a pilot, then it's a Breitling or nada.
