Nice looking watches, however, IMHO Porsche watches are targeted at new owners. Thrilled by the performance of the car they are susceptible to clever marketing...then again, they are nice looking watches.
I'm on my 13th Porsche so new or a "groupie" I'm not. Nor am I a marketing junkie. Wife thought I would like the watch and I do. Nice of her and good for me I have other big dollar watches just not as appealing as I get older. I like to change anyway it's actually a really nice timepiece.
These are from my 928GTS days. The two outside ones came from ebay, the center one is the only one I wear to Porsche events. The center one is an excellent watch I won at a Porsche event.

Nice. Was not Porsche actually the first to use the black face?
No offense the Rolex/Porsche analogy doesnt hold up since a Rolex can be beaten on materials, technical specs and design aesthetics by multiple brands (JLC, PP, IWC, etc).. the same cant be said about Porsches.
The rolex to me is like driving a buick or a caddy. They are just dated.

I love the Porsche watch I have. But I have had a Rolex Submariner for close to 20 years. It is still correct to the second and still great looking. Can't bash the Rolex.
So much hate for Porsche Design products. The Porsche branding is usually minimal and the designs are usually cutting edge w novel materials. Their pens (Tex Flex, Mikado, Shake pen) are probably the most innovative pens made in the last 2 decades yet they are dismissed as fanboy fare.
Disagree that there is any hate, it's more of - if you truly want a reputable watch, PD is not the place to start nor end. And the consumers of PD will no doubt be very bias to Porsche owners, enthusiasts alike.

I'm not a Watch enthusiast neither do I own a fancy high priced watch. Perhaps Rolex might be a bad analogy, however it sure has stood the test of time just like a 911. Once we get into the nitty gritty details and nitpick, the technicals will not end with a resounding agreement.

Then a 911 is just as dated which are constant evolutions not revolutions compared to a Tesla with the latest and greatest technological releases on 4 wheels regardless how they drive, their built quality and how Musk can be entirely polarizing.

I bought my Submariner (first good watch) in 1985. It's been serviced several times (total service costs now exceed the original price!), keeps great time and is still in regular rotation. "Can't bash the Rolex"!!

Disagree PD is not reputable. Statement needs backing up.
Porsche watches have also stood the test of time. Do the research.
"F.A. Porsche made the bold decision to leave the family company and take his distinctive design eye to products beyond the automotive world. In 1972, he founded Porsche Design and his first product was a wristwatch.
Its hard to believe that before 1972, there were no black watches, given todays ubiquity of PVD, DLC and ceramic timepieces. So when Porsche Design introduced an austere chronograph in a black steel case with black bracelet, it was a sensation."
