Is there a paint code for gloss black wheels
Noticed a couple small chips in the paint on my wheels, is there a specific touch up paint code? Some blacks are different shades, would like to do OEM if possible.

As you have probably read here before others have not had any luck finding paint codes for wheels - someone recently could not get one for the Satin Black wheels. I assume yours are non-metallic, right? If so I assume most Gloss Black would suffice, especially if the chips are small - are they? You can always pick some up at your local auto parts store and try it on a scrap piece of something metal and compare it to your wheel when it dries. Just out of curiosity did you try asking your dealer's parts department?

If you were painting the entire wheel it would be a basecoat color that would need to be clear coated. If the wheels are satin or matte finished the level of gloss is controlled by the amount of flatting agent added to the clearcoat.
Suncoast and other dealers should have bottles of touch up paint available in black.

Great info, which I did not know but that makes sense since as you said it is also an exterior color. Since the same is not true for Matte/Flat & Satin finding those paint codes will be a lot harder, just as others have reported here in the past.

Nice find. I have never had a wheel get chipped from road debris, just grease monkey f-ups.
