Just installed mine last weekend. All took about 15 minutes, except for the little push button lock which holds the grey lock in place. Took me another 15 minutes to find that one LOL. Didn't tie it down, just stuffed it in (wondered what that little piece of velcro was for). Works fine, no rattles, very happy I did it. BTW, I took BobZ's advice a set the closing speed at the 12 mph max.

Finally installed it today. The only hard part was fitting in the back seat of my targa lol. works fine although I did not see an adjustment for the speed at which it can close in the settings. I passed the usb cable under the backseat so I can reprogram it without removing the panel so if there is an extra adjustment I'll check later.

Good job. I just got home and used it when I entered my parking garage and I noticed I was going 11mph while it was closing.

Actually I do not recall a setting for mph operation, but it will work up to around 12mph. I just looked at the matrix, etc. and did see it either.

Sorry, I tossed my "cheat sheet" with the setting number, but as I remember there were three options for the closing speed. On the bottom right hand corner of the settings sight, there is a button which links to a sight describing each setting in detail. Some of the descriptions were different than the ones on the installation page.

Do you guys remove or deactivate it prior to taking it into the Dealership for service?

I would hate for this Mod to "Flag" my 2019 for warranty coverage.

no need to deactivate or remove it. The dealer would never be able to know it was ever there. In addition, this isnt an accessory that would flag a warranty..

I deactivate mine, which can be done with a few flicks of the multifunction stalk in about 10 seconds, when I take it to the dealer, or heaven forbid have to valet park it. Its not over a warranty concern, but more for a concern over the guy trying to find my car in the rain and clicking the unlock button on the remote 3 times in a row and the top opens.....or if it is parked close to a wall or pole behind the car that the rear window shell could hit if accidentally opened. I would rather the top work like the dealer expects it to work when its in for service.

Hmmm, never knew I could do that.

You can deactivate it quickly as Al.Fresco mentioned. I have brought my car in for service twice since putting in the module, and both times I forgot to deactivate it. Also, one of those times, the dealer decided to do the convertible/targa top recall before I even mentioned it, and nothing was mentioned regarding the smart top being there.

I did read in the instruction there was a protocol I could do with my M/F Wheel controls to deactivate it. I just need to set aside 2 hours one day to mess with it . I had some challenges installing mine & it still has a couple on minor glitches every now & then.
