Jack pads

I chose the rectangular shape primarily because it was easy to construct and the interface point on the car is rectangular. Also, the rectangular shape provides a bit more bearing area when the pads are used with my jack stands.
But you've given me an idea. I just may "clip" the corners to provide and easier interface with jack cradle.

I have the ones from Maxspeed Motorsports. They are great, made of metal so no breaking. They lock in so they don't fall off. I even forgot to take one out after working on car, and it stayed in during a spirited test drive.

Now that's more like it. I'm going to give them a ring to see what they have to say. The tremendous pop of this thing cracking under the frame as I lifted made my stomach drop - like getting lit up doing triple digits on the hwy.

I had a set of SmokinGTS rennlist member lift pucks... Quality product, but don't forget to remove them and go for a test drive, or they will be GONE! (Ask me how I know...). And they are a bit pricey.
I replaced them with some anodized aluminum lift pucks that lock into place and stay on the car. They are fantastic for quickly locating the proper jack point and center onto a floor jack nicely.
My 996 Turbo became a real PITA to jack up after my new suspension (GT2 ride height). It was hard to even get your face low enough to even glimpse the jack points on the car, but with the alum pucks it is cake. They are designed for and marketed primarily to the Corvette market, but worked perfectly on my 911. Can't beat the price either at $30/set-of-four shipped.
With my quickjacks in particular, it was very difficult to get the lift blocks on the quickjack in the perfect position to hit the lift points but not flex the lower side covers. Now it is a breeze, super quick to line up and lift. IMHO much easier to have them stay in place than have to insert and remove them every time you need to lift the car.

Tesla Model 3 pads work fine.

These work perfectly. Stick them up in the hole and they stay in there until you bring the jack in. I keep a pair in the frunk/froot.
