Greetings all - anyone have a convenient source for jack pads for our cars?

You want one with a centering bolt, too. I have Rennline's. There are several options out there. Just don't use an old hockey puck.

You can have mine. Centering bolt is a PIA. I've gone back to regulation hockey puck, works great. I don't need belts and suspenders.

I have Quick Jacks and they come with rubber blocks that I feel are a bit too soft. I use the Delrin jack pads made by a rennlister and they work great. Just today I bought 12 hockey pucks for $20 and plan on using them as the in between the Quick Jack and the delrin 911 pads.

I wonder how much compressive force a hockey puck can withstand stand. Wish my 20T hydraulic press had a pressure gauge.

I only use "Porsche-Certified" jack pads! You can't get any more convenient than making them in your garage.

Wood! Who would have thunk? Do you replace them every now and then?

This pad has been used on three (3) Porsches and is still solid. I have one for each jacking position.

The centering dowel is made from a 1-inch diameter pine dowel that has been glued to a 1/2-inch thick piece of plywood that has been drilled to accept the dowel. The plywood with dowel are then glued to 2-inch X 2-1/2-inch X 3/4-inch thick piece of poplar.

The paint on the top is a nice touch! I'd go for guards red

Ha, I'm a Guards Red fan myself.

The orange is a color code denoting the size of the dowel, in this case 1-inch diameter.

Love it. Did you consider making the bases round to fit the jack cradle better?

I chose the rectangular shape primarily because it was easy to construct and the interface point on the car is rectangular. Also, the rectangular shape provides a bit more bearing area when the pads are used with my jack stands.

But you've given me an idea. I just may "clip" the corners to provide and easier interface with jack cradle.
