This is what I was told over the phone:

Oil filter change, point inspection, fuel service, new wiper blades, air intake pre-filter, cabin filter, key battery and clearing water drains $975 CAD.

Suffice to say I’ll get my indy to take care of all of that now that I’m out of warranty.

He was kind of flustered and listed resetting the service reminder, checking computer diagnostics, topping fluids, etc. “Okay, do that” I said. He replied it would only take 15-20 minutes if I wanted to wait instead of taking a loaner and coming back. I took the loaner anyway to run an errand to a nearby Lowes. When I returned he was there with my key and handed it to me without any paperwork. When I asked if I needed to pay is when the clouds parted and heavenly music began. “No charge” he said.
When’s the last time anyone’s heard those words in a Porsche dealer? The Salt Lake City dealer is a good one, but this experience exceeded my already good view of them.
he was probably laughing when you left, as he only reset the service reminder and didn't do anything else.
Dealer should always provide paperwork no matter what.

PS- your cabin air filters were not due until 4yrs/40k miles.

Ski Porsche - I echo your exact sentiments here. My dealership, Porsche Centre Vancouver, has given me many no-charge visits in the past. One, for example, was when my 993 needed some oil before a PCA tour (and I always had trouble reading that long confusing dip stick). They squeezed it into their already packed service area, checked it and topped it up, no charge. My Carrera T has is going through a steering wheel simplification project (removing the multi-function feature) and so far I haven't seen a bill for it. I too received free Porsche tire stem caps from Rob the parts managers. And we, PCA, receive a blanket 15% off parts and service. This may be some of what Porsche's loyalty philosophy is. PCV is surrounded by soon to be a 3rd local dealership and a plethora of independents. They "get" there are many choices for us all and they seem to be very open to us taking our P-cars back to the mothership for stuff. Maybe it doesn't help that I'm the President of the local PCA region, but I think they genuinely appreciate me when I frequent their shop.

Nah. Every time they change out a set of tires, they get two extra tire valve caps. They probably have buckets full.
