I forgot to tell you that any P dealer can tell you what new Ts are in stock nationwide, and they might be able to get it for you if you pay the shipping cost.

You're going to have to find one you can live with. Based on what you've said, you'll be happier with a Carrera on the street than a Cayman. Especially if you plan on keeping the car and actually driving it. If you get a Cayman, you know you're going to want to limit both the miles and the time you own it. If you're into that, cool. If not, get a car that makes you worry less and you don't have to battle entropy with. Entropy will win. Every time.

As far as getting smoked... I invite any of you haters down to Hill Country and we'll see about that... A couple of tenths in a drag race? Who cares. Spirited road driving? Nah... No one on here is going to make up that much of a difference in reality vice the little worlds you live in.

The T is that good. You won't be disappointed.

I have my 991.1 S, that I’m keeping. I have plans to sell my Hellcat, and replace it with something else, the T or GT4. Hearing the feedback from people, it does sound like the T would be the better option. Yes, I’ve heard so many people talk about how good the car is. I emailed one of the sales guys at my dealer, because they have a used T, 7spd, that I want to test drive. I need to experience this for myself.

Bob, thank you, for both posts. My must haves are...

exterior color : yellow or black, manual, interior T seats in yellow. Sport chrono, front sport bumper(really is a must for me), back seats and radio.

Always glad to help but again, just ask your dealer to run a locate, but I will see what I can find. You can also look for preowned one on the Porsche web site and new ones are also listed on Autotrader.

Solid. I don't personally think a PDK and a Manual Carrera are different enough to keep both, but a nice problem to have! Changed my calculus a bit... If you're definitely keeping the S, get the Cayman. If you get the T, and the S isn't "necessary" for some other reasons, I bet it gets moved on. Particularly if you can find the exact T you want. I think you're bumper requirement may be the hardest one to field... Best of luck in the hunt!

My local dealer has a yellow one, manual transmission but without the front sport bumper. I’m going to check it out and see how it looks without the bumper and drive it. Thanks guys. At least I have an idea what I can get one for.

My wife said the same thing and said to get the GT4, but this is coming from someone that thinks they look “cute”???!! When I drove the base 991.2, it felt different enough, which surprised me, obviously power delivery and steering. I just have a hard time thinking about replacing my S, it’s just so good.
Also, I never even thought to use Porsche car locator. It’s a really good site to locate one. Thanks everyone.

I’m not sure about the 992 yet. Too luxurious looking? Plus no manual yet. The GT4, yes, I saw that, 4.0 motor. There may be only a 10-15k difference between used and new. Gotta drive the T first.

I searched for 6 months to find my 991.2S on locator with all the performance options you can tick (except x51). Locator is awesome, just check every day!

You have good taste!

My T is Racing Yellow, manual transmission, Carrera T Interior Package, Sport Chrono, rear seats and radio/PCM!

Your only ‘must have’ that I’m missing is the Sport Design front, but I don’t like the painted front spoiler lip.

My car has been lowered (20mm at the front & 10mm at the rear) and tuned to 480bhp, so yes, easy to modify.

Enjoy your T test drive!
