FVD remote tune here based one mods. Good gains and much smoother power delivery. Removed dip when car comes on cam. Assuming your talking 991.1.

Yep, 991.1 - Cobb removed that dip as well, with their “OTS” tunes. Never tried FVD but I’ve heard good things.

IMO, it's a good option if you have the right team in place. If the tech pushing the pedal isn't 100% on point, there is certainly potential for disaster.

Having a tuner IN the car is just an additional level of safety I personally prefer. This way the tuner hears (hopefully doesn't feel) any audible sounds (boost leak, exhaust leak, knock, etc...) that would otherwise be lost over just visually looking at logs. The price for tuning these cars is generally not cheap to begin with, and I believe a personal hands-on approach is appropriate at this caliber of car.

OP - where do you live?

Yes - Custom in person is preferred to OTS or remote; generally speaking. There is a variance in quality with all vendors.

If you go custom, in person; location would help net more relevant recommendations.

I'm from Brazil and did all my 997TT custom cobb tune remotely with @SamboTT@ByDesign . Everything was perfect and I would recommend any day.

We did some versions only with road pulls, and the last adjustment on the dyno.
