Default New to me 991 Carrera S

Hello everyone-

I closed on a 2013 Carrera S a few weeks ago and am simply ecstatic! I have owned a 957 Cayenne GTS for some time and have always dreamed of having a 911 share the garage.

It is simply surreal that I own this beautiful piece of machinery now. The car does everything so well. I plan to daily the car as much as possible, and even being 6’4 it is pretty comfortable and the a/c seats are clutch out here.

I had hoped to post pics after I installed the bumper plugs and performed a proper detail, but it’s much too hot in Arizona to do that right now. if anyone is in and around the area give me a holler love to get together with fellow Porsche fanatics! In terms of past sporty cars I am coming from three v10 sedans, one modified e60 M5, and two modified c6 s6s. While those cars were fun (and annoying) at times, I am extremely happy to be in a 911. I plan to stay stock happy, but I’m considering the DSC controller if I do take the plunge.

With that said can anyone pull the official Porsche builds anymore? I’m not sure how accurate the below is, because I have the burmester audio which btw sounds amazing, but didn’t see it on the build sheet unless it’s nested under premium package plus? I also haven’t had just a radar detector in years but this came with a nicely hardwired setup with a mount so might explore that as well.

and with that here is the buildsheet as I know it and some pics of the car.

Nice car dude! I'm possibly trading in my Porsche at Camelback Toyota for a 2020 Tundra then using the rest for either a C8 or 6MT GT3. I wonder how well they appraise these cars.

I may have some tasteful mods that could interest you off my 991.1 C4S.

If you ever need a good indie shop, check out McIlvain Motors.

Thanks, know Scott pretty well, he’s been maintaining my GTS for the past two years and he’s been amazing. Highly recommend them as well!

Funny coincidence. The guy traded this in on a tundra as well! I assume they appraise decent. PM me on the mods you have.

Try putting your VIN into here and see if it tells you about the stereo:

https://vinanalytics.com/

I’m going to PM you at some point because we’re both silver 991.1’s and like you I am over the moon at owning the machine and plan to daily it. Thats what these things are for. Garage queening and mileage prevention is for Ferrari owners

Best part from what I can see is the 991.1’s appear pretty reliable from what I’ve seen thus far on this forum. Nothing better than owning a trouble free German car relative to say Audi and BMW. You pay a premium for Porsche but I’m happy to report you get some of that back in reliability engineering and build quality.

For sure! My build sheet above is from vinanalytics and says Bose audio.
