Thanks for the tips tips on the brakes, never done a flush before, which fluid did you use?
Yes it is. I used the Porsche Factory DOT4 brake fluid that comes in a black can. Use the link will take you to the correct item.

Using Mobil 1 for the last five years Blackstone Labs results indicated I have a very healthy engine. Since using Motul I have noticed lesser lifter noise, especially at start up and a cooler running temperature (5-10 F less). Two years ago I flushed my brake fluid utilizing the Motive Bleeder. You have two options, plastic cap for less money or the aluminum billet cap. I found the hard plastic cap worked flawlessly. Second item is the power bleeder catch bottles with rubber hose which makes the job cleaner with less or no mess cleaning up brake fluid. You will also need an 11mm brake bleeder wrench. I used the Schwaben wrench which is angled at both ends. I purchased the brake fluid from Suncoast Porsche Parts. Lastly you will need a OBD reader to reset your oil and brake maintenance light. There are several to choose from on Amazon. You can also do a search on the forum for recommendations.

Regarding Mobil 1 Blackstone oil analyses, did you see both the 210 and 100 viscosity fall below the minimal range? This is concerning to me. Thanks.

Thanks, got everything ordered. Except oil, just want to check it’s Porsche approved.

I have the reminder resetting tool.

Now i I just need a good you tube video on brake flushing.

I would recommend Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech Engine Oil (5W-40) which has the Porsche A40 approval and should be perfect for your climate. Regardless of if you choose 5W40 or 0W40 make sure you're using a name brand full synthetic oil that has the Porsche A40 approval.

Buy or borrow a Motive Power Bleeder.... makes changing brake fluid a simple task.

I use the same package from FCP, no issues. My oil changes now cost me $40 (cost to ship the old stuff back).

IMO - for brake fluid - use Motul 660 or Castrol SRF if you never want boiling issues or a soft pedal. +1 for the Motive Power bleeder...the model with the metal cap is just slightly easier to use.

I am a Mobil 1 user as many. Up north I use 0-40. I am moving my TTS to Fl this fall. I will be switching to 5-50. Have used Mobil for many years on many Pcars.
I am interested in learning more about the Motul oils though. Any insight other than what was said already appreciated.
