Joined the club! Got a 2012.5 C2S
Hey Everyone,
Been lurking for some time here and appreciated all the info. I actually picked up this 2012.5 C2S late last year / Nov '18. Figured it was finally time to join the forums. Nice to meet you all!
Wanted to get some input/opinions on the deal I got?
Personally from lurking and researching around, felt like I didn't do amazing on the price but got a decent deal none the less. Honestly was looking for 3-4 months for a C2S 991.1 since this was the generation that really did it for me in terms of looks. Turns out C2S's on the west coast under 60k were not really a thing even up to like 65k ish miles. A few here and there were $61-62k with higher mileage. Ended jumping the gun on this one even though it didn't have a lot of options I wanted like Sport Chrono, cooled seats, or PSE. Car was bought from a dealer with no CPO for $58.5k with 46k miles at the time.
Some more details:
- Clean History / No Accidents
- Had 40k service done, all service records were included
- Did a PPI with a local Porsche Dealership, came back clean
- Turns out the previous owner added 5mm spacers to rear wheels? Looks fine / stock to me and have debated looking into getting them taken out.
- Is stock otherwise
- Not really loaded... a few nice options like heated full leather, navi, bose, PDLS, sunroof, PDK (a must for my only car)
- 3 Past Owners (sad face, now 4 if i resell)
I've put about 10k miles on it in the past 8 months as it is my DD, so no regrets ... yet. Hopefully will be fortunate enough one day to upgrade to a 991 Turbo S or something.
Appreciate any input on the above! Will probably sell and try and upgrade before I hit too excessive of miles.

The spacers could be factory options.... Mine had them OEM. That is a great deal. The options are interesting when you are reading online but don't materially change there driving experience. A Base 99 with no options gets you 95% and options including higher trims make up the remaining 5%.

Congratulations OP, I think you got an excellent car at an excellent price! As it’s not CPO I recommend getting a Fidelity Platinum warranty.

Especially as it’s your daily driver.

Look Mops, you obviously thought the price was reasonable or you wouldn’t have bought the car - right? I don’t understand the point of posting here asking more than 6-months after the fact whether or not you got a good deal. Doesn’t mean you can’t, just that I don’t get it.
Congrats on your purchase. Drive it like you stole it. Trade up in the future. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Nice, but your spoiler is up...PPI should have found the problem with it being stuck.

Nice car and congrats. Not sure why you are concerned or asking about price - as long as you got what you wanted and are happy - that’s all that matters.
