Ceramic Pro sells a Cleaner/Care kit for maintenance. The cleaner seems to do well on the things you mention and has a distinct ethanol odour to it.

Are you wanting to remove the coating or clean the coating?

We like using CarPro reset to wash the car, IronX to clean the coating, apply eraser as a prep, then revive coating with Reload.

process is the same with most coatings, so find out what’s comparable in the ceramic pro lineup

They do. And can damage the coating if left on the coating long enough.

The coating does two things:

1. Acts as a sacrificial layer to protect the paint.

2. Makes it easier to remove bugs and sap from the car.

+1...there’s a lot of misinformation on what coatings can and cannot do. Coatings are just an evolution of waxes and sealants. Once applied, the coating still needs to be cared for and maintained properly to be effective. It has many many advantages over a wax or sealant, but it’s definitely not a force field like some may sell it to be

once applied properly, you will definitely know it’s there and working

I've had Ceramic Pro on my 991 for ~18 months. Bugs and sap come off easily with just a very damp micro-cloth and a swipe with a dry one. I also use Hydrosilex Recharge every second wash.

Let me be a contrarian regarding PPF and Ceramic Coatings. You don’t need it ! I am living proof that putting a coating on top of PPF is totally unnecessary and sometimes counterproductive compromising the PPF. Just wash you car regularly and clean it the same way you clean your paint. Now I put my flame suit on!

Well coating is a luxury item just like our cars, no one really needs it but it's nice to have

Countless better threads for that than mine. I have one car left without it and it will be the last.

Didn't we just debate this with you in another thread?! "...counterproductive compromising the PPF." WRONG. And again, this was already debated so I will not post after this. To those considering it search threads in this forum and read about the benefits.
