I have 3 cars and sadly only put almost 2k miles on my 911 the last 5 months. But I manage to put 16k miles per year on my work truck to haul equipment. And my beach car is sitting in the driveway with no love at all because I have no time for beach nowadays

14k is nothing. It will last over 300k if you take care of it. Nothing to worry about.

My 2018 C4 has 17.5k on her and my 2014 981 BS has 47k and they are both just toys - because I like to drive. Both perfect with no problems.

How were they? Do I need to go?

I got ahead of myself and now finished the thread. 800 miles round trip....I don't want to know how good they were,

I se a lot of references to ‘over-revs’ in the comments. Wouldn’t this be impossible in a PDK car?

That’s what I understand as well. I think all PDK transmissions have a rev limiter.

Usually a lot of miles in a short time means highway miles, which are way less damaging to a car then the same distance in stop and go city traffic. so that would not worry me too much.

Pfff. I don't even consider a car broken in until 50k miles.

There is actually a LOT of truth in this statement. But it's a bit closer to 25,000 miles. If you look at my 5.5 year UOA history, you start to see the 9A1 motor level out for wear metals and then "freeze" at this mark.

Even PDK cars can ping range #1 and range #2 over-revs. We've seen it here on RL. It's rare, but does happen. Regards, those ranges are a non issue, and considered normal on the 3-pedal cars.

Now, looking at the Launch Control counter in the brain is maybe more telling.

Check if the car wasn't in a driving school, particularly Alabama. I had a thread on that recently. May be an issue for some people.

You can always tell a good pepperoni pie by the thickness of it and how it curls when cooked - leave now.

Better than a really old car with really low mileage. It clearly got up to temp !

Lex, swing over to NJ for some pizza. I’ve got a couple of spots you’d love. That’ll be well over a 1000 miles round trip.
