I put 45K on my 1994 Jeep the first year I owned it,, and I doubt any 911 will see the abuse my jeep got doing it,, still own it at 250K miles..
My C4 is at 110K 2003 to present.. (4th owner) The first put a bunch of miles on it commuting about 75 miles each way.. All freeway.
Till it got to 60K then new clutch and new owner..

The DME lists total operating hours, divide it by cars mileage and you get average speed per hour, might be of interest to you.

I am also guilty of driving the car all the time. Second owner and in the first year, put 14K on the car which included several longer trips. As for the first owner, who knows what happened in their life (divorce comes to mind) to cause them to sell the car. At the current mileage, just get a PPI done and if it is in good shape, enjoy the car.

i put 1500 miles on mine when i bought it from an out of state dealer and drove it home and put another 1000 miles on it for that month. i wouldnt be too concerned, i think you're over thinking it.

I always do the first thousand miles as fast as I can, so I can do the first oil change. Then I do the second 1000 miles as fast as I can, so I can then start going over 4000 RPM. I try to get this done in the first two weeks.

I am looking at a car and the first owner put 9K miles in the first 3 months on the car, 4K miles in the first 3 weeks. Second owner put 5K miles in about 8 months. There are about 14K miles on the car now after 15 months. Would this be any cause of concern, typically mileage wouldn't bother me, but that first 4K miles in 3 weeks is nuts. I asked about a DME report and there is only 1 over rev as a Stage 1 on the report and the car has been certified already. Just curious to hear others thoughts.

Mileage put on in this fashion is a bonus, IMO. Highway, road trip miles are "easy" miles, and you benefit from the depreciation. Buy it, drive it, enjoy it.
