Default Plastic coating

Hi, Picked up our 991.2 GTS today. Very exciting. Asked that they not wash the vehicle as to not put swirl marks in the paint. I’ll wash it tomorrow. My question is about the engine cover. Before I left the dealership I noticed some plastic covering on the cover. I asked about it and was told to peel it off when I got home. After I got home I tried but I couldn’t see how it comes off and I didn’t want to damage anything. Any suggestions? Thanks

Should be able to just peel it off. Any residue can be cleaned with Goo Gone

If you have a hairdryer put a little heat on it and it will help you to slowly peel it back, at an angle.

Please skip the goo gone... My boss did it and the goo gone got under the plate and loosened up the glue under it. Use rubbing alcohol instead.

Pull out the hard plastic trim in the accordion rectangular center section of the fan cover. Then gently pull on the fan cover and this will release the 8 nuns that live in the fan housing rubber grommets. Now give it a cleaning that you desire and put back in reverse.
