I ran a cummins diesel truck over 100k and did my own oil changes every 5000 using the orginal plug and crush washer. Truck never leaked a drop. You can chase those electric warnings up and down. I used common sense reference the oil level on the 991.2 but did burb the plastic plug a few times to milk it down. zero leaks. I do use a new plug on this car each change and will burb them if needed no worries. It's an amazing price difference in identical parts for Audi if bought at a vw dealer. I'm seeing a pattern with Porsche parts also. So I bought vw oil plugs cheap and they work great. When I was a kid I worked at a reputable aircraft fbo driving a van and washing airplanes. They would send me to NAPA to buy car parts and the manager took said parts and placed a Cessna sticker over them and sold them at 10x the NAPA price. That was in the 70's. Buyer beware.

I have had the washers reused on my car when the filter didn't ship with one and it is fine. No drip at all.
