N.E. Ohio dealers
I posted this in the General Porsche forum but got no response. Not much traffic there. Anyway, I'd like to hear reports on the two dealers (as far as service goes) that we have in Cleve. area. I live in Akron and have had dealings with one (won't say which yet) and have been less then impressed. I'm now at 1 week and waiting on a return phone call. Not a problem though, got an answer to my question here. Please give me your opinions of both. If you don't want to post them, send me a message. Thanks,

I would take Porsche North Olmsted. Have been going to them for years, all of my friends go there too. Service is great, sales is not pushy in my experience and it is overall a well run dealer with techs that care. I know two of them decently well and have been happy with the work.

I’ve used PNO, Beachwood and Byers in Columbus over the years. I was ok with all three. Do you have an SA to follow up/nudge the service techs if needed? I’ve ordered cars from both Cleveland dealers, so I have an SA at each place.
Never bought a car from Byers, but did an oil change on a Boxster S in 2013 and the tech was very friendly and helpful - liked talking about the cars and seemed enthused.
So, I would say no complaints about any of those three. I must say I haven’t kept any of the cars long and never had any complicated issues to deal with.
Feel free to PM if you want more info.

I used Sebastian Mora at PNO. Both he and and Chris, the GM were fantastic. I highly recommend.

I'm sure nothing will change on the ground, but be aware Bernie Moreno sold most of his dealerships recently, including PNO and MBNO. It was in the local papers a while back. Says he's going into some sort of block chain technology. I'm clueless but wouldn't bet against the guy. Force of nature there. I've never had a bad experience at either one (my DD S class is from MBNO and I had 2 991s from PNO). I'm still mildy annoyed they didn't think to call me on the Oak Green GT3 Touring, but now it wouldn't stop me from using them again under the proper (for me) circumstances.

Most recommend Steinels for an independent. I have not personally used them, but a friend had his coolant lines on his 997.1 Turbo done there and said they did great work. Switchcars also seems to send most of his stuff there for inspections.

Thanks, never heard of them but looks like a good operation.

They were the go to place for any air cooled car in NE Ohio for many years. Eric took care of all my air cooled cars from 1991 till 2013 when I caved and went new warrantied water cooled cars. He retired but I heard one of his long time colleagues took over the business. I assume (but don’t know personally) that they continue to do great work.
