Yes the Cup 2's are better for performance. They're also quiet too. PS4S much better in wet conditions.
I’m in SoCal and being that I don’t daily mine I think 2’s make more sense. How many miles do you think you’ll get out of them?

I've had 2 separate sets of rears due to nails.. Fronts have about 7k miles with plenty of tread left.

I noticed a difference from the Pirellis almost instantly when I got the michelins put on.

I went from Pirellis to Michelins on my E63 and noticed a huge difference. I kid you not when I say I literally heard them sticking to the pavement when driving at night down a quiet street at low speeds.

I have a stock .2 C2S and maybe I’m hallucinating but pushing the sport response button just before a launch makes the launch seem quicker. Driving instructor at PECLA mentioned this too. Give it a try and see if it makes a difference for you.

I should have clarified, the Pirellis I had were the Pzero and when they were cold or even not at 'optimal' temps, they were downright dangerous. I thought something was wrong with the car, I was getting the tail out everywhere in the dry.

I have a 991.2 GTS. In the Center console means behind PDK and in front of alarm switch?

The armrest compartment has a small reassessed space where the dragy fits perfectly.
