Default Labor hours / costs for spring or suspension install

Just curious if folks who have installed springs, or the KW adjustable kit or other similar suspension components could comment on how many hrs of labor it took. Recently got a quote from a buddy's shop for a spring install and was shocked to hear that Alldata quoted 7.6 hrs, which just blows my mind.

I was somewhere around here, 7-8 hours. Want to say about $1200 (with alignment & tax). This was to change springs on one of my cars...

I assume you saw this but see this link. @Jnosol said it took him 4 hours to do himself (with a friend). If his estimate is accurate than your friend's shops seems to be overcharging a bit.

Depends on how familiar shop is. Spring only install is more work because you have to disassemble the original strut and reinstall versus with coilovers you can just replace the entire assembly.

I paid 6 hours to have my Techart springs installed. Alignment was done after a few hundred miles were driven to allow the springs to settle.

I literally just wrapped up the h&r spring install on my carerra t. All in it took 7.5 hours for all 4 corners. If it was a ready to go coilover install where you didn’t have to disassemble/re-assemble the factory unit, I would say it could be done in 4-5 hours. The fronts are super easy (less than 1 hour each) and the rears were pretty difficult (2 hours each).
