Almost Dyno Day
Just installed (last weekend) the SOUL catless headers on my new to me, 2014 Carrera S. Coupled with the PSE, it can be loud and rowdy, or quiet depending upon the position of the buttons.
Tomorrow morning is Dyno day. Gonna try to start with base tune run, then Stage 1 tune from Cobb, then the tuner will tune from Stage 1 to my vehicle for optimum performance. Will be interesting to see how much Cobb leaves on the table from their Stage 1 since they don't have a Stage 2 tune for the NA 3.8 to account for the headers.
Plan on taking vids of each run.
Can't wait!

Awesome. Excited to see results. What brand dyno?
I am torn between Soul exhaust vs headers. It sounds like both add the sound we want, the headers add more horsepower (most likely), and they are about the same price.

Alrighty. Update...Made about 10 runs on the dyno today here in Denver...71-75 degrees. Mods are PSE (not really a mod) and Soul catless headers.
Cobb Stage1 loaded and made a couple runs to baseline the car. Then ran a stage 0 tune. I'm not hear to evaluate Cobb or Soul, so to speak, just to see what a dyno tune will reveal having the Soul headers and starting with Cobb Stage 2.
Ended up at 367.4 HP and 305.6 torque at the wheels. Not too bad at 6000+ feet. The dyno had all 4 going on the rollers even though I'm rear wheel drive. This helped with computer stuff between the rears and fronts. The dyno was a Dyno Max Pro and the folks down at EDGE Autosport did the tune. Great bunch of guys and the owner was there on hand during the runs for the entire 4 hours. I would highly recommend them. The first image shows the last run in bold vs. the Stage 1 Cobb tune. Basically the car has increased power across the entire band from 4k through 7.6 k RPMs. The peak difference was not that much...maybe 12HP over the Stage 1, but again, the gains were over most of the rev range. I've added a couple more images that zoom in on the mid and top ends that were taken on run #8, which wasn't optimized but shows the deltas.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results.
