Smile Rear Wing Disable

Does anyone know if you can disable the rear wing on a 991.1 from going up and down by pulling one of the fuses?

Just curious.

The wing going up and down is not only speed dependent, but also raises according to the cooling needs of the engine. If I remember correctly.

Why do you want to do this?

Im hearing a loud bang, like a rock being picked-up as I drive when the rear wing is moving down.

I think the spring on the drivers-side may be broken.

I don’t have time to get it fixed right now, so I was hoping to disable it.

I can keep it raised, but not lowered.

To the right of the engine compartment, right under the wing, there are two plastic trim panels. You need to raise the wing and open the engine bay to access them. Once you take out the fans, and the two trim pieces on the Passenger side (Left) there is a cable there. You can unplug this and it will disable your wing, BUT you will most likely get an error code on your dash.

Another way is to go the dealer and ask if they will deactivate your wing with their PIWIS.

Why not just let the dealer run the wing through the cycle and see what the issue is?
Does it make the same noise if you raise and lower manually?
