2003, 911 carrera.
How should it take to fix the ims bearing?
Some charges 8 hours some charges 12 hours...

Easy to fix. Drive to dealer. Trade for base 991.1. Major upgrade. No IMS issues.

Hello Skip! Yes, you would be better off posting this to the 996 forum as you are likely to receive more feedback (and most likely less smart *** comments).
Welcome to Rennlist! Not sure if you are new to Porsche or just new to the Rennlist Board, but you will find a lot of information. Just find the correct board!

Coming from the 996 world, I highly suggest that you do NOT make your first post there about IMSB. This topic has been beaten to death. Read the IMSB thread at the top of the 996 forum. It has all the info you need.
