When I ordered a Boxster S in 2008 it had a 5mm spacer option; however, that option was not available when I ordered my 2019 Targa GTS last July.

Bob, did you ever post photos of your car with the 7mm spacers? If so, can you point me to them?

They were the last half of 2017 ('18 MY).

I had not posted any so here are a few I just took, 7mm front/rear. The rear tires are pretty much even with the fender lips and the fronts are tucked just a little but to make the same as the rear I would say at least a 10 is needed:

Needless to say the bottom of the tire is much further out when the top it flush with the fender lip, which will throw more crap up at the car. By the having the fronts slightly tucked they look better and help keep the side of the car in better shape over the long run, but I do have PPF.

I have a 991.1- 5mm spacers came standard with the 5-lug option as the CL’s stuck out more due to offset or were .5” wider than the 20” S wheels-I can’t remember. Spacers were dropped on the 991.2 GTS w/ 5-lugs

Good info. I just acquired a '15 991.1 GTS with 5 Lugs, and it has the 5mm spacers. They were not listed on the build sheet, so I assumed that they were either standard or a PO added them. They are discussed in the owners manual and on the "Good to Know" app.

I'd be interested in seeing the difference between the .1 & .2, side by side, to see if the wheels are tucked the same amount.

You gents have very sharp eyes if you can eyeball the difference between no spacers, 5mm, and 7mm.

Just add a set of 7mm spacers as I did on my .2 GTS with 5 lugs. As I said, the back is perfect and the front just barely tucked, which will help prevent too many rocks from chipping the side forward of the rear wheels.

Whoa-how did I miss that?! Indeed they are on the app....Great to know! Thanks a lot. I ended up going with ECS 10mm rear and 8mm up front. Will post up after I throw them on.
