Default Interesting deployment speed for rear spoiler

I’ve read a few threads related to this issue, some have said their rear spoiler raises automatically at speeds about 75mph, some have said low 80s. After discovering today that I was able to see the top portion of my spoiler through rear window, I decided to test this myself. Spoiler rises at 60mph and lowers at approx 40. My 991 is a 2019 C2S, not sure if this is model specific. I called my SA and asked him the same question without providing him with my observations, he did confirm the same for 2019 models.

.2 will open for cooling purposes also, I believe, so results could vary due to that.

I don’t think 996 or 997 owners can see their spoiler from inside the car. I didn’t think 993 owners could either. Is this a new thing for Porsche? I wonder if 992 folks can?

As posted. 100km/h goes up. At 60km/h goes down.
With sunroof open (even tilted) will move to secondary position (higher angle) at 130km/h.

You can see the 992 spoiler deploy from space

I can see the very tip-top of the spoiler if I have my sunroof cracked or all the way open in my 2015 C2. Apparently it deploys farther if the sunroof is open.

Raise your seat up and you should see it easier.

Both my .1 and .2 991’s spoilers raise at 78 mph and retract at 50 mph—unless extra cooling was needed. The only difference I’ve noticed is the .2s spoiler goes up when I accelerate hard after engine oil is up to temperature. When that happens it doesn’t lower until speed reaches 20 mph. It doesn’t appear to be a cooling issue since outside temps haven’t gone above mid seventies around here.
