Default auto rev matching question

i am looking for buy 991.1 c2s, and i found one with x51 power kit/sc/7 mt, but when i do the test drive, everything works very well but the auto rev-matching does not engaged when i downshift with sport plus mode. I feel very confuse about it, could someone help me about that? And also i have another option to buy, which is 2014 c4s with pdk without sc. Both of them are 25k miles and 70k usd, which one is worth to buy? Both of them are gt-silver. Thank you.

I believe (?) that on the 991.1 (NA models) with manual transmission the auto rev matching only works in the "sport" mode.

You don’t mention the year of the 991.1 c2s, but is it possibly a 2012? Early 2012s do not have the rev match feature (even with sport Chrono - not sure when that update took place).

Those are VERY different cars - you’re asking about a 7mt C2S with x51, vs a C4S PDK. You need to decide what’s important to you (PDK vs MT, WB vs NB, AWD vs RWD, etc.) and decide based on that. FYI - rev match ONLY works in Sport Plus (unless traction control is shut off)

My 2013 doesn't have rev-match (thank jebus) - be sure you're testing a build date that should actually have this feature

Interesting...I thought by 2013 they all had it (mine does). You have SC though? Wonder when that change was made...

Since the Speedster has a switch to turn it off maybe the 992s will as well, but us 991 owners are stuck with it being on....you may want to look for a car without OP!

My 2016 GTS MT has auto rev only in Sport Plus. Fortunately I only use that mode when tracking so have the fun of heel/toe in regular and Sport modes.

Yep, I have SC. I'll see if I can find the production date for the changeover but I do know for sure my 2013 model was built very early in the model year

This is correct. The only way to disable auto-rev in these two modes is to disable the PSM nannie.

Default Rev Match

I have a '13 c2s x51 7mt. If you have the x51 option, the sport chrono is part of the package. The autorev is on in my car only in sportplus mode.

Strangely, I only have rev matching in sport not sport+ in my 2017 GTS.

Nope. Only works in sport +. Not available in sport on the 991.1.

There is something wrong with your car then. On a 991.2, it should have rev matching in sport and sport +. Make sure that PSM was not in off mode when you put it in sport mode. (FYI PSM is never actually "off")
