Default Passenger Window Whistleing

I have an annoying whistle from the passenger window in my 17 C4S after 30MPH.

I have re-set the windows per forum discussions and it appears the window is all the way up.

Anyone else experience this or can suggest a solution.

Thanks,

Mike

Sounds more like the mirror whistle issue. I guess PPF sets off the whistle. Most likely it's not your windows. Try rolling them down to confirm if it's the mirror.

This is what to do to find the source. Painters tape all around the perimeter of the windshield, in case thats where the whistle is coming from. Also tape the side window. Drive it. If the noise stops, remove a portion of the tape until you hear it again. That will pinpoint the air leak. If you really think its from the mirror, start there, but whistles are deceiving and hard to pinpoint. This is exactly what the dealer will do.

I would start with basics....
Did your window always whistle? If no, what changed? Check the rubber sealant around the door and window.

You can also install a pair of wind diffusers as a last resort, which have been used to eliminate wind noise (along with their advertised benefit of reduced buffeting) by others.

Would it be stupid to use high pressure water at the window to see where it may leak on the inside of the window?

If you threw a couple blankets inside and maybe had someone sit in the passenger seat to watch where any water came in it may be worth a shot.
