MAF sensor & Throttle Body Replace DIY
Hi all,
Replaced the MAF sensor & throttle body this morning. There aren’t many photos so here’s mine:
After a back strain, I bought a back brace because of the stress on our backs while working on our cars...highly, highly recommended!
Here’s the sensor on top of plenum
T30 Torx with low profile ratchet needed here
New sensor in place
MAF sensor
New sensor $32 from Pelican
New TB from Pelican $202
Having another stool for tools and hardware really helps the back. Back brace is a new must for me.

Why replace?
Getting codes?
Upgrade?

Hi Tampa,
car threw code MAP-MAF and a throttle code earlier....after thorough cleaning of throttle body, code returned.
I never had any work done on the throttle body. For $200 for new TB & $32 for sensor, I changed both and code is now clear.
May have been just sensor, but I didn’t want to take rear apart so I did both since bumper was already off. In worse case, I have 2 new parts that I know aren’t the problem if code rears it’s ugly head...
