They have been blocked from sales since March - according to Suncoast, they see some inventories as high as 29 that have yet to to be recalled, they are just sitting there. Wouldn’t they be recalled if they were going to be used for assembly of new GTSs?
Some US places HAVE already done launch parties for example - https://www.porschebeachwood.com/992-early-reveal.aspx, even as recently as June - why would they continue to do them if they are on hold?
To be clear, I’m not expecting anyone to know the answers to these currently - I’m just saying it seems unlikely they would recall all kits back to Germany when they probably have an inventory of the turbos available for warranty claims, etc.
Only time will tell though...
Unrelated dealers in both Orlando and Chicago have just recently told me they cannot schedule launch parties because they don't know when to expect any 992's, because of this emissions approval holdup.

Hopefully this means no more EPA issues - still don’t think this was related to 991.2 X51 availability but I’ll be checking on that again soon...

It is Reeves - and the relevance to this thread is that there was speculation (not mine) that EPA challenges on this model were somehow affecting sales on 991.2 X51 kits.
