991.2S powerkit
My SA told me all cars with the factory power kit were recalled because for some reason they didn't get EPA certified. He also said it's only nine cars in the US.
I thought the inter-web would like to know. |
I had 991.2 with power kit go V250 two months ago...porsche AG said no go and deleted the option, also deleted it from the website config tool that same day. No explanations given.

I have a 991.2 Targa 4S with factory power kit. No recall notice. Yet. Was just at the dealer for an oil change 2 weeks ago.
But one of only nine? Woohoo! DaveGee |

Considering this upgrade
I have a '19 Targa 4S and have been considering the X51 upgrade. It's been on my mind since I purchased the 991.2. This string just about pushed me over the edge.
In the opinion of those that have had both 991.2 with and without: Can you tell the difference in turbo lag? Can you tell the difference in low end torque? What other differences? Your opinions are valued. Thanks. |

If u drive it always above 2500 rpm, you will love the torque. It's like driving a.muscle car, when you hit it. If you are a hypermiler driving around at 1500-1700 rpm, you won't like it. It's a 911, so keep the engine up on sizzle. It is very strong all the way to 7500 redline, so you won't be disappointed. I drove my 991.1 C2S this way and loved it. I now drive MY 991.2 X51 C2S the same way and love it a whole lot mire. The magazines have it at 3.0 sec 0-60 and 11.3 isec n the quarter mile. Yesterday at an Autobahn Country Club track event sponsored by my Porsche dealer, a 991.2 GTS driver came up to me afterwards at happy hour and said he had trouble keeping up with me on the straights. Nuff said.

Only 9 in the country? And we found 2 of them here already. And I have a friend who is a 3rd.
Sounds kinda odd. |
