Yes, our new site is under construction, As is our new shop Opening JUly 1st The new website is www.GWDMV.com. We are patiently waiting for the body shop to finish painting the prototype so we can get it back on the car. Thankyou all who are following this. We are also finishing up designing the full replacement decklid with duck tail and additional cooling as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Alright Guys, the aggressive non extended cooling model is done! This is on an 8XX HP Turbo S, don't mind the wheel cutouts, the wheel thats on it isn't available to the public yet and hasn't been officially announced.

Looks nice and all, but what about fitment on narrow bodied 991.2s? Also if this is non-extended cooling... how is the cooling done in general? Do you have photos you can provide with better shots the tail itself? It's nice and all on the car, but would be much more helpful if we get detailed shots about the tail, and frankly details itself...

Fitment is identical for NB 991.2 Cars. That being said this was designed first and foremost for the Turbo/Turbo S crowd that have cooling ducts in front of the wing and the side intakes. We do not recommend this specific version for GT3/GT3RS cars as it doesn't lift to act as an air scoop mimicking factory wings. This version is aimed more towards a certain aesthetic that the client was after. The main post will be updated shortly with details pertaining to this piece.

The MK2 & MK3 versions will be full replacement rear panels incorporating a slightly less aggressive ducktail profile matching stock airflow requirements as well as being provisioned for enhanced cooling.

I think I may need further education, so apologies if my questions are quite naive...

As it stands, the wing opens up both when speed is ~75mph (downforce) and when the engine is hot for additional cooling... my understanding is the wing serves as a ram air to cool the engine (correct here?) does that mean that MK2 and MK3 will replace both the engine cover and wing, with proper venting to allow for engine cooling? Also not sure if this was previously asked or answered, but how does this affect drag coefficients? Curious regarding lowly Carrera / S rather than Turbo, GT cars.

Thanks!
Edit: goes without saying, the ducktail is very pretty

Any chance for a narrow body version with a ducktail with some sides (buttresses) to them ala the 911 RS?

You are correct on the functioning of the stock rear wings.
MK2 & MK3 will replace both engine cover and wing correct!
Drag coefficient will be no greater than a GT3 Touring rear wing when in the up position.
This MK1 wing is roughly the same drag as a GT3 fixed wing would produce. <<again the MK1 more for aesthetic then function.
The additional cooling will be active on the full replacement MK2 & MK3 pieces

Oh very cool! So then is my guess correct in the following:

MK1: Max aesthetics with stock cooling
MK2: Med aesthetic with some functional cooling
MK3: Some aesthetics with maximum cooling

Orrrrrr am I missing something?

Thank you!

Almost there!

MK 1 Max aesthetic no cooling
MK 2 Full replacement decklid with factory levels of cooling
MK 3 Full replacement decklid maximum cooling

MK 2&# will be same shape/outline but with different approaches to cooling

Why are the wheels blacked out?

See above, they're not officially offered to the public yet

Really looking forward to this. I hope the Mk2 & 3 keep a retro aesthetic. I know there are a few here wanting a more aggressive look but I bet there are a many like me going for the retro look.

Will be interesting to see what you come up with for the cooling. Im personally not a fan of the RUF solution on the trailing edge of the spoiler. I think if I had to choose I would prefer the forward rams like the GT3, but even better if it could be achieved without them. Im guessing its the intercooler that's the problem as engine intake/cooling could just rely on suction without the need for anything sticking up.
