Default Cupholder logo removal?

Stupid question, and I know this is the type of topic people make fun of Rennlist for...

Has anyone attempted to remove the logo (little picture of a drink) from their cupholder trim? I have the standard black trim pieces that came on the T ... but this weekend my wife (who never comments on anything about the car) pointed to it and said "that looks tacky". Has anyone managed to get this off without damaging the trim?

you can cover it up with a small porsche emblem, but I think that is even tackier . . .

(try if for laughs and get back to us on the wife's reaction)

I believe its under the clear coat...if its not, then a little rub with rubbing compound may take it out. If its under the clear, you will have to repaint that center piece to do it right...

... ah, interesting. I see that maybe I'm being too limited in my view of how to fix this! Maybe one of those cool "***, Grass, or Cash .... " stickers would also solve the problem. She wants to see tacky ... I can do tacky!

I started a thread about this a while back, which you can search on but the results are the same. It is under the clearcoat so you basically have to sand/paint the center piece or do what I did and cover it with a tiny piece of auto wrap that matches your paint; APA just came out with Miami Blue so I got lucky but more common colors should be easier to match. You can buy 4" x 8" samples from them for $1 so buy the ones you think are close. Mine is still a little visible I but I put a decal on it so eyes divert away from it. However, I am having a smaller one made now and I will right justify it, as they do in the new Speedster. You could have small crest made or "Carrera", etc. I found an Etsy seller that has made me lots of different decals for various projects and she does an outstanding job; message her with your needs (https://www.etsy.com/shop/Vinylology...g_id=670151094).

Don't think it's tacky, whereas the new central cupholder in the 992 certainly is. What I really don't like is the overly dominant back-covering due diligence airgag sticker on the back of the passenger sun visor. Can't figure a way of removing that without leaving some sort of imprint.

Agree 100% about the 992 cup holder. Really hideous.

As for the stickers on the visors, can easily be removed by soaking towel with alcohol and placing on sticker for 5-10 minutes. Stickers will peel off in one piece and leave a slight residue that can usually be cleaned off easily. There are specific DIY somewhere on RL.
