I am trying to locate exactly where the MAP sensor is located on our cars. I want to change mine due to a code being thrown.
I know theres a YOUTUBE video of it allegedly under our frunk, but that is wrong. There is another picture that shows the sensor to right of Oil filter but it doesnt actually show the sensor. I have searched the internet with no luck.
Has anyone changed their sensor? There are no diagrams on Internet.
Pretty certain this is it in the photo below? It is on the plenum between the runners. Never took it off on my 991s but I HAVE removed it (to replace plenum) on a 981. Easy on a 981 once you have the engine cover off, 991 seems like it would be substantially more difficult as you dont have access from above but, rather, from in front. Also included a picture of what you see with engine cover off (which is pretty much just the TB). Good luck!

I guess I didnt ask if this was a .1 or .2. I know for certain the 991.1 using a MAP (based on pressure) as opposed to a MAF (based on airflow). Below is a diagram confirming the location I had indicated for .1, dont know about .2!(I would THINK it has a MAP sensor as well but not sure??), good luck!

Thanks Dom...thats it! I guess no one has ever changed it. Im getting a MAF code so I wanna change it as its only a $33 part. I bet dealership would charge at least $600. Would be great if I had some access without having to take out plenum. We will see. Thanks again.
