Default Manual folding mirrors durability?

I actually like that my mirrors can be folded manually because I don't have to worry about a motor wearing out that needs to be replaced. However it does take a bit of muscle/heft to twist the mirrors up and I worry that I'll put too much strength into it and break/damage them over time. Can anyone with long term experience speak to their durability? Are these things designed to last with continuous use?

Are you flding them every day?

I would guess a risk is that applying the force by hand may not always be in the right direction, and put some extra stress on the mounting.

Almost every day. Its really common for people to walk between cars through my work parking lot and people wear backpacks etc and bang them into mirrors all the time without care.
Guess we're going to find out re: durability.
