I have all the same useless discs. I do not want to revert from 4.76 to 4.52. My SA tells me to stay away from this. I have called PCNA and they admit the discs are useless and promise me a refund. It has been two months and I have received nothing. PCNA is worthless for help. Though I love my current 991 GTS, I will never buy another Porsche based on their lying promises. I cannot depend on PCNA for anything honestly. I have purchased 6 new Porsches expecting honesty from PCNA. None have materialized. PCNA must respond to all who spent $$$ for the useless Map updates among others.

Thanks for your ongoing posts on the subject. I’ve been following along, and they’re most helpful.
My car is at the dealer having the maps updated. I’m vaguely concerned about the process, since it seems to require both experience and some research on the part of the dealer. I’ve been assured by the SA that they’ve done it before. However; given some other performance issues that I’ll talk about later perhaps , I remain curious as to the outcome
When you have your Maps updated, would you please post the code for a 2018 Map load ? That way I’ll be able to verify the efficacy of the dealers efforts. I’d rather not accept the car from the dealer until I can independently verify.
Cheers

Sorry, but I purchased the discs 2 months ago. When I received them it was clear to me that I did not wish to substitute 4.76 discs in my 991.1 GTS with 4.52 discs. I neither opened the bogus discs or loaded them. I called PCNA who assured me of a refund. I neither gotten the refund nor any other communication. PCNA is useless. They have never responded to me. I guess six new Porsches is not enough to just get civilized, honest service.from PCNA.

It's a three step process.
1. The dealer has to have the new map data. They have to order this at their own cost and keep it as shop tools. they will use these new map discs for all of their customers who want the new update.
2. You purchase the 2019 map data which is a DVD case that has only a code and no actual disc. The code # is the unlock key to allow your PCM to access the new map data. See post #31. Those extra three discs you see are older SWV discs.
3. After the map data is loaded, the SWV drops back to 4.52. The dealer should then reload disc WKD-952-800-17 which takes about ten minutes and this will bring you back to 4.76.
Let me know if this doesn't work for you. This is my understanding to date. Having owned 6 porsches, you should know by now that tech and tech expertise is not Porsche's strong suit. Hope his helps.
FWIW, I can't tell any difference in PCM performance between 4.76 and 4.52.

Apparently map updates backdate you for some reason. Doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

$255 at Suncoast. You apparently still need a dealer to install it, so that's just the map part cost.

Pavegeno928-
I took my discs and your post to my dealer. He has all the appropriate discs and instructions including the discs that will turn 4.52 back to 4.76 that you mentioned. However, I lack the courage to be the "canary in the coal mine", because, like the canary's death, the negative result may be irreversible. Did you have any luck?
