My reading of their warranties was that the transmission is mostly covered under the powertrain warranty, with a few additional parts covered under gold. I did not see any Gold+. Without knowing all of the PDK parts, you really can't tell if it's all covered under anything but the Platinum.

It looks like Gold Plus adds " transmission control module". So if that part failed and we have only the power train warranty, I guess it wouldn't be covered??? Many of the issues I have read about seem to indicate an electrical failure rather than mechanical. So if that is the case, I guess we need the Gold Plus or Platinum level.

If you're even considering paying $8200 for a warranty you should do it and continue living in blissful ignorance of the money you've wasted, and not bother asking for advice haha.
