For those that drive sportingly, lowered their car, or added chassis stiffness are you beefing up the front strut tower so it doesn't crack?

Just came across a few threads discussing about a hand full of GT4's and at least one GT3 where the strut tower cracked.

And then came across this little piece being sold to beef up this area.

Is our strut towers designed in the same manner?
