Default Sunroof Closes Automatically at High Speed

Fun fact, a 991.2, will close the sunroof automatically at 200 km/hr, ask me how I know

This is when in the tilted position, not sure what happens when it is fully retracted, but I assume the same will occur. Anyone tested this?

LOL. I'll have to try it. I always close all my stuff before doing runs that fast.

I thought it required 2 manual operations to close, for safely reasons, government mandated?

Nope. Pretty sure I can close mine with a single button press (both when opened fully or just angled up).

Or were you kidding?

Try it, but I was serious. I thought it had to do with kids or pets getting stuck on accident...pushing it twice implies you meant to get them stuck.

I'll verify. But pretty sure I did both earlier today, once as I pulled up my driveway to my garage (closing it from full open) and once on an on-ramp to the highway (from angled open). My memory sucks, as does my attention-span. So I cannot recall 100%.

Which doesn't meant that you're incorrect - could be a malfunction on my car. Like my magic hand-waving frunk-release which has stopped working all of a sudden.

Back in the day, on the 993 Turbos, the sunroof panels were sucked out when ya got abve about 150-ish.

Was just out and confirmed that the sunroof, when just angled open, will both open and close with a single button press. To fully open it requires just a single button press, but to close, from fully opened, it seemed to require that I hold the button up until it fully closed.

I will test out the automated closing functionality at 125 mph another day. On a closed course, of course.

The spoiler also opens up at a steeper angle when the sunroof is open.
