Updated query. How many 991 owners anticipate moving to a 992?

i know I’ll want one however, the real question is how long am I willing to wait before buying a 992? More than likely I’ll wait till more versions surface and hype slows a bit to when ”deals” will once again be available.

What will the Base model list for in the US?

Sold my 2013 C2S to get a 992. There are too many negatives right now by the looks of it. I'm sure the performance will be an upgrade. Maybe that will change over time when the GTS/GT3 comes along. I did get a 2015 GT3 in the mean time.

I won’t know until I see it. I drive a manual, so it’s a long wait. My lease is up in November so not sure what to do.

Not interested. I can’t get past the interior design.

Having a 991.2, the newer 992 doesn't seem like much of a change or upgrade. It feels like my C4S has all the options and I'm not really wanting more. Might have been different if I had a stripper base car.
Not a fan of the new interior. Exterior is okay, but IMO 991 looks better (or more traditional, even though 992 is going for classic look).
I wont buy a first year run of a model. Might be interested in 992.2 (probably TTS)...curious about how the hybrid will be implemented. Also wonder how the Cayman/Boxster gets revised...might be interested in the next gen GT4. There's also Taycan sedan that I could consider in 3+ years.
Probably should of made this a poll.

The 992 Carrera didn't win me over, but that leaked (on purpose?) photo of the 992 Turbo has piqued my interest - mostly because it doesn't have the brake lights that look like two strips of bacon. Holding out for the details, and if it's compelling I'm likely to order a TTS (if there is one) in a year or two - especially if they offer a nubbin upgrade. (Porsche, are you listening?)

My music taste stopped with 80s metal-long hair and spandex...ok, not so much spandex unless an attractive woman is wearing it. I eventually learned to like some of the new stuff. I’m completely in love with my 991.2 GTS right now and the 992 does nothing for me at the moment. I do like its interior minus the shifter. Who knows...I may warm up to the 992 like my taste in music. If the R8 is still around when I’m in the market, I might go for that. First world problems.

Many would say the 993.
I saw the 992 presentation from LA and later pics of it. I did not like the dash and instrument panel at all as well as the grill with the vertical lines in the engine compartment lid plus so many other little things.
Glad I lucked into a new 2015 991.1 GTS last August. All the better for those that want a 992.

I just bought my 991.2 Targa 4S 3 months ago, so I will wait to see what changes are made in a few years i.e., 992.2 version before I decide what to do.

Already traded my manual 2015 C2S for a new PDK 2017 C2S last June, with all the goodies, and have installed catless pipes and X51 PowerKit. I'm happy as a lark!
The manual 7 speed was the worst manual as Porsche I've ever owned. My new one has so much more power, it's like a really strong muscle sports car. It's my 10th Porsche and best, by far.
Nothing compares!! 😍
I'm not yet sold on the 992...

I did the same thing as well. I waited for the unveiling of the 992 in pictures and at the LA Auto show before deciding a new 2019 991.2 or 992. I love everything about the 991.2 inside and out. There are too many changes with the 992 which I don't like and will not grow on me. If I had issues with a few of the changes, that wouldn't be a problem. But there are so many head-scratcher changes that I just can't consider this gen of the 992. Maybe we'll see some improvements in the 992.2. As a result, I ended up taking one of the few remaining 991.2 allocations. Unfortunately my delivery isn't until mid-May. The wait is killing me.
