Interested to see how this turns out. I recall watching NM's videos where he managed to capture some of the electrical hiccups with his first 911. As a result I have him to thank for influencing me to be conservative with my dashcam install: I didn't hardwire it as I planned and instead I simply plugged it into the 12v socket in the footwell of the 911. I can't say that it made any difference, but the fact is that I haven't experienced any electrical gremlins. Actually, that goes for all three of the Porsches I've owned after a combined total of around 40k miles.

If true, I would think this is encouraging (but bad news for NM I guess) because it suggests there is a specific reason for all the electrical issues described and more importantly, something to avoid doing to in the future. But I wonder how did those mechanics determine the aftermarket stuff was the cause of the electrical issues, especially since there appears to be a delayed onset between installation and symptoms? And why did NM's techs not determine the same?

Nick is a great brand ambassador for Porsche. Perhaps PCNA should take back his 991.2 911 and give him a GT3 Touring allocation for his troubles.

I dunno. It seems statistically implausible to get two 911 lemons in a row, with essentially the same type of electrical gremlins.

Nick posted this yesterday. Looks like Porsche will be buying back another lemon.
