Default AWE Foiler Wind Diffuser for 991 Carrera IN STOCK!

Hey guys! This is an affordable and easy add-on for your 991 that we have in stock and ready to ship. There is nothing worse than wanting to cruise with your windows down and the insane wind buffeting makes it unbearable. This small injection molded part will prevent that for comfortable cruising.

What’s wind buffeting?

You know that sound that makes it feel like your head is going to implode when driving your Porsche at speed with one window down? That’s called wind buffeting. It happens when you’re moving fast, and it’s quite the issue on the new generations of Porsche Boxster/Cayman and 911. So instead of just letting our brains melt under the pressure of wind buffeting, we did something about it.

Porsche design

The AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser boasts an unobtrusive yet elegant design. Crafted from UV-stabilized injection-molded plastic, the Foiler™ Wind Diffuser complements Porsche styling without calling unwanted attention. Installation is a breeze with AWE Tuning’s user-friendly, bolt-on design. Wind buffeting is defeated, and you can continue to go fast.

Passenger and Driver's side Porsche Foiler™ Wind Diffuser included, as well as all hardware needed for installation.

Roll down your window and wave goodbye to wind buffeting.

PM for any questions or to place an order, we have a few sets in stock that can ship today!!

Price: $79 + Shipping.

Do you have an installation video? What is involved? Do the door panels need to be removed? Any drilling etc?

Thank you. Do you know if a 2015 Targa 4S has a visible or hidden screw? Looks like there is quite a difference in the complexity of the installation as the visible screw install is a lot simpler.

Doesn't appear simple, I'll pass. Also, manipulating and pulling panels will likely result in premature squeaks and rattles another thing most can live without.

It's an easy install with screw exposed. Im not a mechanic or tech. First time install took me 20 minutes on my '15 C2S. It's a nice addition. It seems the early 991.1's had the design with the hidden screw

I've had several of these AWE wind diffusers on my 911's.They definitely work as advertised for eliminating the wind buffeting. BUT, be aware, they are extremely thin plastic and are very easily damaged. YMMV

I should also mention that an acquaintance of mine put a set on his 2014 C4, and that was an easy install too. I too would not do it, if I had to pull off my door panels. But it is a simple inspection process to remove that little triangle interior piece and inspect, to see which installation is required.

I did the Blackmills....3M tape. 5 minutes, done. No buffeting to 120mph.

Mine took 10 minutes to install on .2 GTS. Super easy install just be gentle. Though they do work I still get some buffering at higher speeds.

Just be sure to not overtighten the screw when installing it since it is going into soft plastic, but all in all I think they look OEM and do their job well.

Really want to do the AWE upgrade vs Blackmills because they look more stock. I have the hidden screw though and removing the door panels isn’t gonna happen.
