Minor rattle, driver's side - any common things I should look for?
There's a minor but somewhat annoying rattle coming from somewhere on the driver's side, rear of the driver's seat. Sounds like near the pillar. Some day I need to find someone to drive the car whist I stuff myself into the back to see if I can find it. Are there any common rattle issues in this area?
Thanks!

I found a few around there. One was the plastic housing for the switch that flips the seat back. Shoot some WD40 in there. Also around the seat belt retraction device. I had one in the headliner by the driver that was not clipped in right. The sounds are confusing as they are often not coming from where you think they are. I start pushing on things and seeing what makes a noise and put a tiny bit of WD40 in there. I am not talking massive amounts of WD, just use the straw and put a tiny bit in there and have a microfiber towel to wipe up any excess that flows out.

Check the rear interior panel and make sure it's all attached. Early on I had some of those plastic clips break and they replaced them.
Drive with the rear seat in the up and down position to see if that makes any difference.
Also with the rear seat up, buckle the rear seat belt and see if that eliminates the rattle.

My rattle is passenger side headliner near the center pillar. I press up a little during driving and rattle goes away, I'll have my dealer look at this next service. Sounds like either a little wire lose and hitting the headliner or the headliner lose or floating and scraping on plastic pieces making the sound?

I'm positive my seat belt mechanism is the source of my rattle. I'll mess with it one of these days.

The cover over the seat belt rattles like crazy in my car - on both the drivers and passengers side. Try felt tape adhesive. I used (Shintop Felt Tape - Amazon) Just cut a small piece lift up the panels that are rattling against one another and stick it to one of the panels. It's impossible to tell its even there. Problem solved.

Found the rattle source yesterday. It was the plastic cover over the driver's side seat belt retractor. Made a thin shim with some folded electric tape and wedged it in with a thin screwdriver. Haven't had a chance to drive it much yet, but I think I have it fixed.

I need to trim off that little bit at the bottom still. Triple-folded electrical tape (folded the long way), made a long narrow shim that I wedged in around the housing.

If that doesn't fix it, mine had a buzzing sound that came from the driver's side rear passenger glass. I found a DIY rear glass adjustment post, and was able to add some felt tape to the edge of the glass to tighten it up in the frame.
