Looking for 2017-2018 GTS
So I am coming back to the P family. I would love to order a 2019 GTS TARGA or COUPE but I cannot stomach take a huge hit. So I'm looking at a well cared for 17-18. If anyone sees a deal pop up please advise.

Change the search criteria as needed. I searched the whole country for a pre-owned one that met my needs but I am too picky and nothing was close to what I wanted so I ordered...best of luck!

So here's my question sir. I was always told that any options that are added is typically not counted when it is sold as it relates to value. I built a 2019 Targa GTS and simply added pdq, chaulk, and red interior. $152. But I see some people adding as much as $30,000 to the price. Does that mean when we both trade in or sell retail that we will get the same money since the dealers don't look at options for option.
My next question is you talking to a dealer in California. They have a beautiful 2018 and the sticker on it was originally 168 and they're asking 153 without certification 150. Is it not smarter for me to get a 2019 with less options since it's same price?

Options don't really mean squat on a build. That's from a Porsche Salesman's mouth.
There are select options that are universally known as "must haves". The GTS has them all (sport exhaust, sport chrono). Bose and 18 way seem to be popular options that are sought after.. Stitching, color matching, paint matching, carbon fiber, are all pure losses. PDCC is nice but not a must have.
Lastly, your highly optioned car will trade in close to a lesser optioned car.. However the dealer will sell the highly optioned car for more and market it as "high optioned".

I feel the GTS interior option is a rip-off. It's 8k and it seems it only has red stitching and Alcantara. I'm pretty sure you could get the AlcanTara standard without stitching. Maybe I'm missing something. I personally love the red interior but my body was telling me that for resale I may have cut out most of the buyers that want to genuine GTS interior. Who knows.
